Škoda Octavia ; Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) Central locking won't work so have to lock it with the key. Seems like the car thinks the key is still in the ignition. If I manually turn the stereo off and turn the lights off, I usually leave them on auto, then I can lock the car with the key.

I am having problems with both the electric wing mirror adjuster and the central locking system on my 56 vRS Octavia Estate. Posted 24 January, 2018. In the Mk 1 Octavia the driver's door electronics gives the commands for the other doors. Assuming it is the same in Mk 2 then I would look at the wires in the rubber boot where the driver's door runs wires to the body. There are pictures of this in other posts of broken wires for other functions such as seat air bags
